“I consider myself to be very active in my life and in my community. I play Varsity football, baseball, and competitive rugby. I am an assistant coach for youth football at Clayton Valley Athletic Association. I work part time at a car wash and a sports store, and I serve as an Usher for my church on Sundays… I usually get home after 8pm. I have enough time to finish my homework and eat dinner before I go to sleep. I do not have a lot of time for video games, television, or hanging out with my friends during the week due to my hectic schedule…. I am an independent thinker, and I will lead myself and those who want to follow towards the path of success. My strong relationship with my church and family has helped me to develop a strong commitment to my faith. I love helping others, whether it’s at church or with the kids at football. I am involved in these activities because I enjoy them, and that is the person I have become”.
Garrett Wayne
“I have found Garrett to be a wholesome and personable young man. His discipline record is spotless and his transcript is impressive with a 3.54 GPA. Garrett accepts the challenges of Advanced Placement classes, upper level Foreign Language and Science classes and does well. He is also successful in football and well liked among his peers and Staff members”.
Carolyn Plath YVHS Principal
“Garrett is always willing to help classmates understand material covered in class. Not only is Garrett a leader in the classroom, he is acknowledged as the leader of the baseball team where he leads by example. Garrett always has something nice to say to his classmates and it is gratifying to watch his interactions with them. Anyone who encounters Garrett throughout the course of the day will notice that he has made their day better”.
